Most places take your booking first and ask about your skin afterwards. This asks first, because some answers change what is safe to do.

Have you ever taken isotretinoin? It is sold as Accutane, Absorica, Claravis, Myorisan or Zenatane. It is a strong pill for acne, taken for several months, usually with monthly blood tests.

In the last 6 months, have you started, stopped, or changed a hormone medicine, or had fertility treatment?

Do you get keloids, or thick raised scars, when your skin is injured?

Do you have brown or grey-brown patches on your cheeks, forehead, or upper lip?

Did those patches appear, or get worse, after pregnancy, birth control, or a hormone medicine?
